Code Geass (both seasons) are a must see. Full Metal Alchemist is amazing, and Soul Eater is coming along quite well (Still airing).
I'll recommend Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and it's sequel(s), but they're not for everyone.

EDIT: Just realised this was in manga. I'm pretty sure Higurashi doesn't have one, but the others should.

Thanks for those. I don't mind Anime, I just don't have much access to it but I'll be sure to check them out none the less

Well, all of those titles are links to an aniDB page, that lists all the groups that've subbed/released the anime in question. Most of them still have BitTorrent links on their pages. If you need any help setting that kinda thing up, I'd be glad to help. BT and IRC are the best ways to get anime ^^

For comedy, Everyone should check out "Yotsuba&"
it's by the creator of Azumanga Dioh, and it's just as wacky/awesome ^^

Strawberry Marshmallow's also a lot of fun, but it suffers from that typical Japanese problem of looking like loli, so best not to read in public...

for srs bsns, I found BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad really good, mainly because it's more 'grounded' then most mangas: No space ninjas, no wacky hair colours/styles. Just a simple story about music.

finally, and an awesome, yet psychotically-disturbing, series is UZUMAKI. Its an absolutely messed-up horror manga about people being obsessed and going crazy about spirals. the back covers describes it as "Terror in the tradition of the ring"
pure, messed up joy ^^
